WHO NOT TO HIRE!
The following photographs are of DJ's currently working in the industry. These are not doctored photos. They were actually taken at weddings by a very good friend of mine. I can tell you one thing that all of these DJ's are lacking; professionalism! It does not matter what media you play (records, CD's, computer) in order to be a professional. It does matter how you present yourself, your equipment, and your skills. This is proof why you should re-think hiring just any DJ out of the yellow pages or at a Bridal Show. Please ask any potential DJ to see their equipment & ask for him or her to actually perform his skills on the spot (DJ skills & Emcee skills). If he or she has any excuse why they won't perform a mock grand announcement, or show you his or her DJ skills, then RUN! Many DJ's can mix music, but put them on the spot to make your announcements or to introduce the father of the bride for a toast and they fall apart. If your DJ is full of "um's" and "and's" during his microphone skills presentation, your dead in the water. If your DJ uses "Ladies & Gentlemen" every time he says something on the microphone, then not only are you going to be bored, but so are your guests.
